For nearly thirty years I have worked as a carpenter. A few years ago I realized it was time for a change. I was being drawn toward a new career, a new way to live and be.
Two years ago I made the decision to make the change. I now work with Haitians in Haiti and in Missouri. On my best days I work to help move communities to a better, healthier life by engaging in a process known as asset based community development. These communities and my friends in these communities, in turn, show me what is missing from my life.
If I need to give language to what I do I would say that I am working to better understand the Kingdom of Heaven and how to help reveal it.
I need your help to do this work. If you are inclined to contribute to my work, you can do so in one of two ways:

My goal is to raise $25,000 this year. This will help me account for my lost carpentry income as I spend more and more time working on this project. Any amount you feel good about will help. Even $5, because the way I see it, if 5,000 people send $5 I have achieved my goal!
